If only for a moment, you are able to feel that you've done something in line with all that is true in the universe, you've experienced the presence of God. And there is more where that came from.
When reality envelopes you, and fits like a glove...when you understand your place in the tumult of creation, and when you understand you are indeed in the hand of the Creator, it is an existence that brings simultaneously more action and more peace than you could imagine. Not peace without emotion.... for indeed as the world has apparent chaos you may experience momentary struggle, but just like the apparent chaos is simply the intricate script in the grand Author's epic story, so our emotions become only apparently chaotic, while all the while lies the truth of purpose and love emanating from the Light, who is and has always been with us. We must remember this and carry it with us when struggle over takes us, for the Enemy will try to tell you that the surface is all that there is in reality... that physical sensation is the entirety of existence, that momentary pleasure is the only reality, and that all below is an empty dream. But he lies. He lies with great, convincing thoughts, but he lies nonetheless. God's light is indeed still burning within us, if we will only turn our faces away from the familiar dark corner of the room and venture across the unknown surface towards the light at the other end which is only barely visible in that moment.
We must teach our hearts to stop drawing pictures of water, and jump into the ocean. Otherwise we will only read wonderful books, and never leave the lonely corner from which dreams should originate, but not end. Dreams are not just dreams. They are echoes of the Light, and they are to be actualized, either in this life or the next.
Convinced of our brokenness? Fine! We think that is truth enough sometimes, because it has taken us a while to get there and admit it. But let us be equally convinced of the repair that the Spirit is performing at every moment, if we will only hold still and let Him show us the change within, only visible through His eyes.
